Creepy Doll Studios has been quiet for a while.
Most of the games I released were written back in 2013 and 2014. After that, life moved in a few different directions and my time for tabletop design mostly disappeared. The last time I did any RPG writing was around 2018 when I contributed material to Codex- Chrome 2, the zine produced by The Gauntlet Podcast.
But the ideas never really stopped.
Over the years I kept coming up with strange concepts for games. Horror stories, weird premises, and the kind of ideas that make me say, “That would probably make a fun RPG.” They mostly stayed in notebooks and half-finished documents because I didn’t have the time to sit down and build them properly.
That’s changed.
I finally have the time again to start turning those ideas into actual games. So Creepy Doll Studios is waking back up.
Hopefully over the next few years I’ll be revisiting some of the older games, releasing updated print versions, and working on new projects that have been sitting in my idea pile.
This blog will also start hosting random tables, scenario hooks, and other material for Creepy Doll's games. If you’re running a game night and need something strange to throw at your players, that’s the kind of stuff you’ll find here.
For now, though, it’s simple:
I’ve got time again.
I’ve got ideas.
So it’s time to start making games.
